HUMANITARIAN MISSIONS
Central Mediterranean
If you believe that no life should be left to chance, you’re one of us.
The Mediterranean is the largest mass grave on the planet
Since 2014, more than 25,000 people have drowned while attempting to cross the Mediterranean. These are the conditions they face:
Hot Returns
They set out from the coast of Libya, a failed state where human rights are systematically violated. Militias calling themselves the “Libyan coast guard” carry out the pushbacks.
Overcrowding
The gangs gather between 150 and 700 people who try to escape in very precarious boats.
Lack of fuel
The vessels never have enough fuel to reach a safe harbor. Their only alternative is to wait for someone to rescue them in international waters and take them to a safe port in Europe. But there’s no guarantee that this will happen.
THEIR DESPAIR IS SO GREAT THAT THEY STILL RUN THE RISK.
We believe they deserve our help to prevent more deaths. Do you?
