Conflicts

If you believe that in any conflict the lives of the most vulnerable must be protected, you’re one of us.

Today, armed conflicts arise for various reasons. But there are generally two main groups of causes:

They are often a combination of power struggles, ethnic or religious tensions, disputes over natural resources, and the inability of governments to control territory or provide basic services.

Countries or organizations with geopolitical or economic interests in the area, which often exacerbate tensions, prolonging the fighting and its humanitarian consequences.

As rescuers and as human beings, our job is to save lives. Specifically, the lives of those who suffer the consequences of each of these conflicts. That’s why, as long as they continue to exist, we will continue to be needed.

These are some of the major armed conflicts that have caused humanitarian crises in recent times.

The biggest humanitarian emergency in Europe since World War II.

The civil war in Syria, the war in Yemen, and the conflict between Iran and Israel have made the region one of the most politically turbulent and unstable in the world.

Afghanistan conflict

After several coups and foreign invasions, the situation worsened with the return of the Taliban.

The largest humanitarian crisis zone in the world, involving multiple countries and armed groups.

Israel–Palestine conflict

A genocide that has forced hundreds of thousands of people to live in inhumane conditions.
